Gerald Blanchard will join forces with the Jackson Chorale on Saturday, May 17, 2008 8:00pm at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Jackson, MI.
The title of the concert is "MUSIC DOWN IN MY SOUL" featuring Spirituals and Gospel Music. Tickets for the concert are $12.00 at the door. For additional information, please visit the Chorale's website at Jackson Chorale

This concert celebrates songs of the spirit which have sustained mankind from the fields of slavery, to old country churches, and into the contemporary world. I will sing several solo spirituals and will then partner with the chorale on a number of selections. The concert will be conducted by the chorales artistic director Wendy Treacher.

..Gerald Blanchard will sing a spotlight recital at the 2007 Classical Singer Convention in San Francisco California on May 26th. The performance will include the following repertoire: Spirituals, African American art songs and operatic arias.

..Gerald Blanchard received tenure at Kellogg Community College this past February 2007. The board of directors for the college approved the reccomendations by the Dean of the Arts and Sciences division, the Chair of the Arts and Communication Department and the Vice President of Instruction. ..Gerald Blanchard sang the baritone solo in the Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in the beautiful 2,700 seat W.K. Kellogg Auditorium this past season. The performance took place on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 7:30pm. for additional info click here!

Gerald Blanchard sang the role of King Balthazar in the Red Hen Opera Company's production of Amahl and the Night Visitors in Marshall Michigan. The performance dates and times were:
