| BACKGROUND INFORMATION |

| ...Mr. Blanchard has performed as a soloist, choral conductor, stage and operatic director with numerous organizations throughout the United States. Most recently he staged productions of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Trial by Jury" for the University of Michigan Flint's Department of Music and an acclaimed production of Henry Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas" for Michigan State University's opera program. Mr. Blanchard has conducted a variety of choral ensembles including church choirs, children choruses, community choirs and collegiate choral ensembles. Mr. Blanchard is the founder and artistic director of Bel Canto Voce Vocal Ensemble and he presently serves as the Director of Vocal/Choral music at Kellogg Community College. |
